Bannister Engineering teamed up with an Architectural firm from Iowa to provide surveying and civil engineering services for an expansion project on an existing flour mill. The project included coordination with the FAA due to the height of the mill structures. Bannister coordinated the surveying needed and produced specialized exhibits to satisfy the FAA requirements. Bannister also worked with a rail design specialist to re-align an existing rail spurs to meet the needs of the new expansion. With the new expansion new fire lanes and paving were required around the existing facilities to serve the new expansion. Bannister provided design solutions for proper drainage and the necessary fire access to the site. Due to surrounding development the grading design for this project was exceptionally challenging.
