Hydrologist

Site Civil Hydrologist

  • Applicants should have 1 – 3 years of relevant experience (Junior Hydrologist) or more than 3 years of relevant experience (Hydrologist) in hydrology and hydraulic analyses.
  • The applicant will assist with preparing drainage studies, floodplain studies, watershed analyses, detention analyses, and supporting documentation for private development and municipal projects.
  • Responsibilities will include assisting with the development and review of hydrologic and hydraulic models, evaluating existing and proposed drainage conditions, sizing drainage and detention facilities, and supporting floodplain permitting and map revisions.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS is required. Experience with GIS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FEMA requirements and local drainage criteria applicable to North Texas communities is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, hydrology, water resources, or a related field is required. EIT certification or the ability to obtain EIT certification is preferred.
  • The applicant will work under the direction of our Senior Hydrologist, who has more than 25 years of experience, and will receive guidance and mentorship while developing technical and project-management skills.
  • The ideal applicant will be capable of completing assignments with direction, incorporating review comments, and taking on increasing responsibility as experience is gained.
  • Applicants should be able to coordinate effectively with hydrologists, civil engineers, and surveyors and clearly communicate technical findings in written reports.
  • Applicants must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly dedicated to meeting deadlines and producing accurate, quality work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • A friendly, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team are requirements of the position.
  • Compensation will be negotiated based on the applicant’s experience and qualifications.

Land Survey AutoCAD Technician

Land Survey AutoCAD Technician or Surveyor in Training (S.I.T.)

  • Applicants must have at least 3 years of relative experience.
  • The Survey Tech or S.I.T. will be responsible for producing various land survey related documents including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, plats, easement documents, etc.
  • The Survey Tech or S.I.T. must be self-motivated and highly dedicated to meeting deadlines and producing quality work.
  • AutoCAD proficiency is required and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred.
  • Ideal applicants will have field experience in addition to office production experience, but field experience is not required.
  • Applicant must be self-motivated and highly dedicated to meeting deadlines and producing quality work.
  • A friendly can-do attitude is a requirement of the job.
  • Compensation will be negotiated based on the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
