Bannister Engineering designed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for a six story, 100,000 square foot corporate office building, with an underground parking facility. One of the more challenging aspects of this project was the geothermal hvac system. Bannister provided sizing and design for the water source heat pumps, hydronic piping, dry coolers and pumps, and the well field. The complete system was comprised of 389 tons of geothermal cooling. Bannister designed a 2,500 amp, 480 volt 3-phase electric service which had provisions for a 200 kilowatt generator to serve the buildings data rooms in the event of a power outage. Bannister designed the plumbing systems for the building which included pumps in the underground parking garage for the storm and domestic piping systems.
