Site Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.)

  • Applicants must have at least 4 years of relevant civil engineering design and drafting experience.
  • AutoCAD proficiency is required and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred.
  • Grading and drainage design experience is required.
  • Ideal applicants will have experience with multiple site development project types. Examples include office, retail, restaurants, general commercial, churches, residential (single and/or multi-family), industrial, nursing facilities, assisted living, etc. Experience with single family residential projects is preferred. Experience with municipal infrastructure design (water, wastewater, roadway, drainage, etc.) is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Responsible for designing, coordinating, and otherwise assisting project managers with various residential land development, commercial site development, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Perform design and CAD drafting as required, and assist project managers in directing technical staff in the production of construction plans, specifications, exhibits, and other documents for paving, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and erosion control.
  • Prepare engineering studies and reports, perform project research, attend meetings and site visits, perform site assessments and site observations, coordinate with various project stakeholders (owners, developers, architects, contractors, other consultants, etc.), guide and mentor junior staff, perform various administrative tasks, and perform various marketing tasks.
  • Applicant must be self-motivated and highly dedicated to meeting deadlines and producing quality work.

Land Survey Field Crew Assistant

  • Survey Assistant will report directly to their assigned Survey Crew Chief and will travel from the Bannister Engineering office to the job site as part of a team.
  • Survey Assistant will be expected to handle equipment as directed, call out readings, write field notes, mark distances, use measuring devices, and perform other tasks as needed, including but not limited to those tasks described below.
  • Survey Assistant must be capable of performing a variety of physical tasks, such as clearing brush, setting construction stakes and iron rods, loading and unloading surveying equipment and supplies, carrying surveying equipment and supplies, etc.
  • Survey Assistant must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and being on their feet most of the day.
  • Survey Assistant will be required to work outdoors during all seasons and in various temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Applicant must have a current Texas driver’s license and must be insurable on the company automobile insurance policy. From time to time, Survey Assistant may be required to drive company truck to/from jobsite.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Applicant must be self-motivated, dedicated, and reliable.
  • A friendly, can-do attitude is a requirement of the job.
